The macaw is a colourful tropical parrot innate to
of South America. Many of the different macaw species are today measured to be endangered animals.




 





There are nearly 350 known species of hummingbird, found during the Southern Hemisphere. Although some species of hummingbird are infrequently found further north, these small birds tend to prefer the more tropical climates.


The crane is a large, long-beaked bird that is found all over the world. There are 15 different species of crane found on Earth today, but in spite of their similar appearance, cranes are not connected to other long-necked birds such as herons.


The eagle is a (commonly) large sized bird of prey meaning that the eagle is one of the most dominant predators in the sky. Eagles are most commonly found in the Northern Hemisphere including Europe, Asia and North America. Eagles are also found on the African continent.

The penguin is found pretty much only in the Southern Hemisphere, only a handful of penguins though are in the far south. The emperor penguin penguin inhabits the icy lands of Antarctica.
Despite what many think, the penguin is not only found in arctics, one species of penguin lives as far north as the Galapagos Islands.




There are around 200 species of woodpecker inhabiting the forests and woodlands worldwide. Woodpeckers are found on every continent with the exception of the polar regions,Australia and Madagascar.



The birds of paradise are a group of birds that are found in the tropical rainforests of south east Asia, mainly in the jungles of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and parts of eastern Australia.
